Now Enoch finally steps onto the main stage — and his job is one of the strangest in any ancient book. He becomes the messenger between heaven and the fallen angels.
When the Watchers realize how much trouble they're in, they panic. They can't approach God themselves anymore — they broke that bridge. So they beg Enoch, a human, to write out a petition for them and carry it up. They want him to ask God for mercy on their behalf.
And Enoch does it. He writes their plea and carries it up. But the answer that comes back is 'no.' Enoch has to return and deliver the hardest message of all: there's no pardon coming. Their choice is final.
And because he can walk in both worlds, God gives him something incredible. Before he sends Enoch back with the bad news, God gives him a tour. Enoch gets to see everything — the whole hidden machinery of the universe. That's where we're going next.
